We host a range of events designed to help members prepare for the legal profession. These will include alumni panel discussions, expert lectures, career workshops, and networking sessions.
The Society will also organise occasional informal events and socials for members to get to know each other in a more relaxed environment.
Finally, we will post commercial affairs articles, careers insights and resources on this website.

Our Mentorship Scheme supports Durham students in securing training contracts, vacation schemes, and other legal opportunities by pairing them with mentors who can offer guidance, advice, and practical tips.
The scheme is open to all Durham students and recent graduates. There is no sign up deadline: sign ups will be reviewed on a rolling basis all year round.
Our application handbook contains a comprehensive list of useful resources for navigating training contract and vacation scheme applications. It also includes advice on where to start and building your profile.
